This international regulation defines the specific requirements for eight processes that are understood as fundamentals in any type of election; the voters, the political organizations and candidates’ registration, electoral logistics, vote casting, vote counting procedures and publishing of the results, voter education, audit of the funding for election campaigns, and the resolution of electoral disputes.
